Mouth end of scabbard for my ATrim 1548 longsword. The scabbard is constructed of poplar, custom-carved to fit my sword, and lined with undyed white felt. The tip. The whole scabbard is finely sanded and polyurethane coated. I finished the scabbard with a half-wrap of leather and constructed a harness for it.

The sword glides smoothly into and out of the scabbard, and draws with no resistance. When the sword is fully seated, the scabbard can be turned upside down and shaken and the sword will not come out. A very nice fit.
